Introduction
This site contains some of my professional writing pieces. Throughout it you will find my résumé, examples of documentation, advertisement pieces, and other creative works. A proud alumni of Purdue University, I earned my Bachelor's degree in professional writing with minors in both German and psychology. Writing and communication are important in all businesses, and that is why I chose professional writing as my main area of study; I wanted to take something that I love doing and to hone my skills to improve efficiency and imagination in the workplace.
Educational Background
Although I took several writing and English courses and am very interested in literature and grammar, I also took some of the more technical classes for professional writing, mainly classes on web design/coding. In addition, my foreign language skills have enabled me to not only be more open-minded about other cultures, but also to learn more about my own language and culture as well. My psychology classes further my experience with the way the human mind works and have influenced the way in which I write and also why I choose to write what I do.
I also have a background in science, math, and computers. Though I did not minor in these areas, I took several of these courses and have a great deal of proficiency in those areas. My knowledge of the sciences as well as computers and technology has allowed me to expand my writing to more technical and scientific environments.
